OUR TEA EASTE:
Taihe Village, Alishan, Taiwan
Taihe Village is the easternmost village in Meishan Township, bordering Alishan Township. The community is large, with scattered settlements. There is no bustling commercial old street, only a quiet, unhurried atmosphere. Perhaps only in the busy spring tea season, when tea makers flood in, does Taihe, silent at night, become a village alive day and night and filled with the fragrance of tea.
But before the 1980s, Taihe was nothing like this. The high-mountain terraces grew rice and taro, and peach and plum trees formed orchards. Life was hard, and many young people left to seek opportunities elsewhere. Then the tea industry emerged, and young people began returning to their hometown.
The taste of leaving home and the bittersweetness of the mountains are all in a single cup of tea. This event shares Taihe's settlement history and stories, and invites you to taste it.

AUTUMN MOON 秋月紅茶
#Alishan Black Tea
#Small-Leaf Cultivar
#All Year
Autumn Moon is a small-leaf black tea with an elegant and distinctive aromatic profile.
Particularly suited to cold brewing, it opens with delicate orchid aromas, followed by bright citrus notes and a clean, smooth finish. One of its most remarkable qualities is how well it holds over time — even with extended steeping, the tea remains gentle and balanced without developing excessive astringency.
Evaluated by kombucha specialists, Autumn Moon also shows exceptional potential for fermentation, developing up to three distinct layers of flavour. Its clarity, aromatic complexity and stability make it especially interesting for both cold brew and kombucha applications.

TROPICAL 果香紅茶 厭氧處理
#Anaerobic Alishan Black Tea
#Small-Leaf Cultivar
#Seasonal
A specialty expression of our Autumn Moon black tea, crafted with an anaerobic process to bring forward an entirely different aromatic character.
The process transforms the tea’s naturally elegant profile into something vivid and fruit-driven, with pronounced notes of ripe pineapple and passion fruit. Bright, juicy and aromatic, it carries the energy of summer — tropical fruit, warm air and a long afternoon by the sea. Despite its expressive fruit character, no fruit or flavouring is added. The tropical notes are developed naturally through the tea-making process itself.
At lower brewing temperatures, its tropical aromatics become especially clear and vibrant, revealing a juicy sweetness while keeping the cup smooth and balanced.

MOUNTAIN AROMA 山香烏龍
#Alishan Oolong
#All Year
Mountain Aroma is an oolong shaped by a lighter, more restrained approach to roasting.
Rather than building depth through a heavy roast, the tea is crafted to remain gentle, fluid and clear, allowing the natural character of its mountain origin to come forward.
The cup is fresh and quietly aromatic, with a sense of mountain air and forest greenery. Its texture is smooth and flowing, finishing with a lingering natural sweetness that gradually returns after each sip.
An understated Alishan oolong — less about the intensity of roasting, and more about expressing the landscape from which it comes

WHITE 白茶
#Alishan Mountain White Tea
#Seasonl
This white tea is made with a remarkably gentle approach — relying on natural withering and minimal leaf agitation to preserve the tea in its most delicate state.
Rather than shaping the leaves through intensive processing, time does much of the work. As the leaves slowly wither, their natural character is allowed to settle and unfold, capturing something of the mountain environment in which they were grown.
The result is a tea of quiet clarity and depth. Soft and subtle on the palate, it carries an almost atmospheric quality — the freshness of the forest, cool mountain mist, and a lingering sense of the highlands after rain.
WHITE is offered only as loose leaf. We recommend brewing it in a clear glass pot, where the leaves can slowly open and drift through the water. Watching them suspended between rising and falling, there is a moment when time itself seems to stand still. A tea that holds the scent of a particular place — and a particular moment in time.

ORANGE 橙茶
#Alishan Mountain Brown Tea
#Seasonl
ORANGE is our expression of Taiwan Brown Tea — a new style of Taiwanese tea defined by a distinctive approach to withering, rolling and controlled oxidation.
Unlike the tightly rolled form commonly associated with Taiwanese high-mountain oolong, ORANGE retains a long, twisted leaf shape. The leaves are gently rolled rather than heavily shaped, preserving more of their fresh, green character.
The result is a tea that feels remarkably close to the leaf itself — fresh and clear, with notes of young leaves, green grass and subtle fruit, followed by a rounded sweetness and clean finish.
Its character comes not from heavy roasting, but from allowing the natural qualities of the harvested leaf and the environment of Taihe to remain present in the cup.

MILKY 金萱
#Alishan Jin Xuan Oolong Tea
#ALL Year
MILKY is a Jin Xuan oolong known for its naturally soft, creamy aroma and gentle character.
Taihe sits within a mountain valley, where tea gardens, forests and village life share the same landscape. Surrounded by mountain air, mist and a rich natural ecology, the tea grows in an environment that feels remarkably intact.
Here, Jin Xuan develops its signature natural milky aroma — not from added flavouring, but as an intrinsic character of the tea itself. Soft floral notes unfold alongside a creamy fragrance, followed by a smooth texture and lingering sweetness.
There is something quietly remarkable about this tea: a familiar Alishan Jin Xuan, yet its gentle milk-like aroma feels almost like a gift from the landscape itself.

TEA HOUSE CULTURE
Taihe Village is an important production area for Alishan tea in Chiayi County. Over the past decade or more, the Taihe Community has actively promoted tea culture. Besides regularly holding tea gatherings, tea parties, and other promotional events, it has also strengthened the community through cultural programs so that residents can become tea experts and tea artisans, building a high-quality image for Taihe tea.
Taihe Village is thought to be the earliest area in Chiayi County to promote tea ceremony culture. Nearly every villager is a professional tea artisan, so the people you meet walking down the road in Taihe may well be tea masters. Besides that, you can also see many classic tea houses, each with its own character. Beyond the beautiful scenery and magnificent tea gardens, these tea houses have become another major highlight for visitors to Taihe.
